Jehovah knew they had eaten from the tree,yet he asked because he wanted to see how they would answer.Only Jah has the power,yes the tree would have imparted knowledge but by Jah giving the power. Jesus raised the dead and healed people becauseJehovah gave him the power,he likewise gave the other apostles the power, thats the point im trying to get across but obviously its not being seen that way.So hard to say all you want to in writing...easier in spoken word.

by Witness 007 inmy eyes fell out of my head when i found this....i always thought the tree of knowlege had "magic powers" but the watchtower said no, no it's just symbolic.. this is how the verse reads in the nwt bible.

the tree represented "knowledge"..for instance,the tree of life,it wasnt the tree that would have given you life,it represented life,Jah would have given the person life. Adam sinned,it wasnt the tree that made him die just by touching it,as the Jah said do not touch the tree,Jehovah took away the gift of perfection as punishment. Jehovah is the almighty,the one with the power. When Adam sinned if he had then made it to the Tree of life,the tree wouldnt have given him everlasting life,Jehovah would have had to give him everlasting life for thats what the Tree clearly represented.
Only Jah can give life,not a tree..only Jah can give knowledge.
Anyway i'll proberbly be shot down now but i know many of you will understand what im saying,its so clear.Sometimes when there is so much hate towards an org people just want to see bad all the time.

I always try my best to be impartial,the person i am is genuinely me,im not just truthful because im a jw,im not just caring or kind because im a jw,yet whatever i say people dont see that its coming from me,they see just the religion. firstly this isnt an apostate site,its Jehovah witness.net.....Note Jehovah witness,ok.It isnt called EX jw or apostate.net
secondly i have friends on here who ARE in the truth,who arent DF.
I dont talk as such to apostates,not that theres any on here,some claim to be but there writtings on here are to the contrary. All ive done is defend Jah,his org and sometimes myself,but thats not important to me beause the ones on here who have got to know me in such a short time know im not a liar,also im not answerable to any on here who may accuse me (not saying you've done this,just saying in general) im only answerable to Jah,i stand before his throne at armegeddon and answer to him,not mere man. Sure ive said this a million times before :(

hey outlaw...let me inform you of some facts that clearly jookbeard has got wrong...he is 4 years older than i.
I was attending meeting with my mum and sister from me being 3years old to 4 years old,so he hardly knew me.We went to a bk study held at his parents house but only for a few months,mum didnt go straight away...she studied but never came into the truth so we all stopped going.
My dad died and jookbeards dad took the funeral. I am baptised and no i never said went to a cong 20 miles from jookbeard as i live far far away...
I have visited his old cong so he could be getting that confused.....thats about it I guess.Your welcome to pm me,im not here to argue or to lie...i know jookbeard has a problem with JW but you cant call someone a liar just because they dont have the same religious views as you.

What does it mean to be truly repentant?
by keyser soze ini ask this because my brother and sister-in-law have recently separated due to her infidelity.
in meeting with the elders they were satisfied that she was repentant, and she avoided being df'd.. admittedly, i wasn't present during this meeting.
knowing her the way i do, i have no doubt there were tears involved.

keyser,surely if she committed adultary then she has no grounds to divorce him? If shes repentant then she should be working to repair what shes done.
If she divorces him then she cant remarry unless he does,silly woman,but great for your brother because he can choose not to marry for a while and if she meets anyone she cant do a thing until he free's her from that position Justice is always payed back...trust me.
She thinks she's fooled the elders,but Jah sees it all and for her silly little plan to not be DF,shes not free to remarry if she divorces him.
